This virtual bicoastal monthly poetry series has been running since 2021, with hundreds of features and open mic performers. Hosted by Collapse Press founders Paul Corman-Roberts and E. Lynn Alexander, the monthly series typically happens on the last Friday of the month at 6:30 PST and 9:30 EST. We always create a facebook event on the Collapse Press page (look under “events”) and we post on IG and other accounts as well. For open mic, we use a sign up document posted in the FB event the week of, and do our best to add names from messages.

May 2021: Collapse Press, a newly formed independent press cofounded by Paul Corman-Roberts and E. Lynn Alexander, start the monthly series The Friday Collapse during the covid pandemic. Many events were still virtual, and poets were trying to adjust to a virtual space for readings. While it didn’t work for everyone (hard to hear applause, etc.) it did work for many people who found inclusion and accessibility features and felt connected to others in a safe way.
Winter, 2020-2021 Collapse Press developed and formed. WOrk would begin on the first book- Richard Loranger’s “Unit of Agency” in November 2021.
